Review

The cover shown above is not the original LP cover. It's taken from the re-release (1990) on Heavy Metal America Records. The Anthrax Records cover shows a naked lady and some blood, guess it was ways too much controversial for the frigid America. I marked their style as Crossover, why? Coz it's not pure Thrash. There are indeed Thrash parts included but mainly it's a sort of HC, Punk and mostly motörheadish Power/Speed Metal with even funky stuff mixed in between. So that Motörhead shirt that the "Flying" Brian Pillman imitator on the band pic is wearing is a nice hint for sure moreover this band was active since the early 80's and originally started as a Punk/HC band that adopted more and more Metal influences with the end of the 80's. When you decide to buy earlier records (there are quite a few available) of LOST GENERATION you might be prepared to just recieve some Punk. However eventually they found back on the iron path and despite of the unbearable funky shit they aren't even bad if they'd finally decide what style to play. If you're not into motörheadish Crossover then you better should listen first before buying "Midnight meat train" blindly.
