Review

Killer cover artwork that's reminding alot to Nightprowler's 12" but apart from the fantastic opener that still offers traditional german 80's Power Metal there's really no other serious reason for buying this wanted piece! Advice had been active the whole 80's decade but never got any foot on the ground. Anyways, D. D. Hink's vocals are typically german mixed with a little whining note and he's also often trying to hit the higher tones, but successfully I have to admit. It's just his voice that causes problems in my ears not his ability to sing. Yeah, a little shadow of Udo Dirkschneider is hanging like the sword of Damocles above him while doing the nastier higher parts. The A-side finished with the average "Prohibitory animosity" that's often reminding to ACCEPT due to the missing speed. "Children of the dark" starts as promising as "Persuer" but soon switches over to a little more proggressive style while exactly this behaviour is killing that song. All the tempo and power got lost. And Hell's vengeance"...naja...the vocals do suck extremely and the german accent is simply terrible! And the whole style on this track that starting balladesk is much more modern than the other 3 songs but includes a few HELLOWEEN hints in the riffing. Die-hard German Metal fetishists surely will go on to get their hands on a copy, but as I said the quality isn't constant on all 4 songs, even though here and there are some epic Power Metal riffs featured. Question of personal taste...as usual.
