Review

I still remember when I got this by a trade I've been soooo blinded by their great demo that I got via tapetrading containing some awesome Thrash just how Thrash has to sound like so I didn't even ask my trade partner what's to expect and I guess he's been happy to get rid of it that easy. Already with the first tunes of "Downfall" I knew he screwed me infernally. That wasn't straight forward thrashing Metal anymore, just some polished typically finish Power/Thrash crap with lonely attempts to sound progressive! We all know as soon as a Thrash band is trying to add progressive parts it means the quick death of true Thrash. At least when they're doing their solos they get back to their old demo style but well what does it matter when there's just a typically european sounding guy behind the micro who's trying to imitate James Hetfield while his compadres doing the same on their instruments letting Necromancer sound like a thrashier version of "The Black Album" on the midpaced parts. Only a pleasure for fans of average Power/Thrash. Could be quite an expensive dissappointement nowadays...
