Review

This record with that yellow coloured gatefolded cover having a big Hamburger on it belongs to the rarest aussie HC/Crossover records and can't be found that easily. Aberrant Records was a Punk/HC label and WORLD WAR XXIV has been in the first a HC band but several songs on their selftitled debut appear more like a punky Speed Metal band (somehow reminding me to the late DR. KNOW stuff) that even added some guitar solos. The material was recorded from 1983-85 and all songs deliver doublebass driven Crossover played in a shitspeed like MOTÖRHEAD on 45 rpm. I just can advice everyone into HC/Crossover to get that record or at least listen to it somewhere. It will be a positive discovery in contrary to that label's other releases that I've heard so far.
