Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I started at age 5 with KISS' Rock'n'Roll Over because the cover was cool. I started listening to Rock radio around that time but I didn't fully understand it. Around age 9 (late '81/early'82), I started buying records and tapes and moved on to CDs. I started with KISS, Rolling Stones, and classic rock. I moved onto the NWOBHM, U.S. Rock (Van Halen, etc.), and L.A. Glam/Hair bands.

How and when did you become a collector?

I got my computer in 1997 and I started getting seriously into collecting around that time. I collect because I love the music. Doesn't matter what style of Metal or Rock, if its good its good.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

Mostly CD's but I go for vinyl if it's unavailable in that format. I prefer original CDs and not bootlegs. I have about 20 CDRs of bands/albums that are so outrageously priced in collector's circles that they are impossible to buy.

Which styles do you collect?

Nothing specific. I do like to collect bands. If I like a band, I will buy everything they have released.

How big is your collection?

2500 CDs & 20 vinyl LPs.

Where do you buy?

There are still a few small record shops in my area but I find myself ordering new titles from The End Records, Sentinel Steel, AOR Heaven, & Music Buy Mail. Ebay is also an excellent source.

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

My Top 5 favorite albums:
1. KISS - Rock'n'Roll Over
2. Judas Priest - Defenders Of The Faith
3. Saxon - Wheels Of Steel
4. KISS - Creatures Of The Night
5. Queen - A Night At The Opera

Do you trade / buy / sell?

I buy mostly. I sell if I find multiple copies of something hard to find. I will trade based on what I'm looking for.

Any famous last words?

Honey, I didn't spend too much!
