Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

Since 1983. A school friend of mine played a bunch of old commercial metal from then, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Venom, and I was never the same again!

How and when did you become a collector?

I have collected and kept every piece of good metal that I've gotten my hands on since 1983. I never get tired of hearing metal that I've never heard, I build my collection because I didn't want to get tired of hearing the same songs that my friends listened to over and over again.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I'm most interested in LPs, 7" singles, 12" EP's, picture discs and 10" singles. I of course have tapes and cds but these are much lower priority.

Which styles do you collect?

80's U.S. power metal, Epic Doom Metal, NWOBHM, old style thrash, plus good metal from almost any country. I'm not very interested in most melodic metal bands.

How big is your collection?

If you combine everything, including live tapes and recordings of demos, basically all formats, it is about 7000 items. Not everything is metal as I have heavy 70's psych lps and some good hard rock also.

Where do you buy?

Anyplace possible, record stores anywhere in the world, mail order lists, collectors, etc

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

These are some rarities and favorites but it is hard to put a price on them:
Xcel "Deliver This Dream" lp 1986 U.S.

Myth "Metal to the Pedal/Rock or Die" 7" U.S. '84
