Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

A school friend lent me a copy of Iron Maiden's first album in around '82, it took off from there and since then I've been waiting to grow out of it.

How and when did you become a collector?

As soon as I got into Heavy Metal I started to collect. It goes through phases though, depending on circumstance (normally financial considerations).

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I collect on both CD and vinyl depending on what it is. As a collector of NWOBHM, I'm only interested in original vinyl material.

Which styles do you collect?

I concentrate on collecting NWOBHM. I've always liked it, grew up listening to it. It's basic, full on, no thrills, Heavy Metal

How big is your collection?

I have around 500 LP's, 300 7", 400 CD's and 200 tapes. All the 7"'s are from the NWOBHM era as well as 50% of the LP's

Where do you buy?

Ebay, GEMM, secondhand shops and sometimes car boot sales.

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

Top Ten, by heart (in no particular order)
1) Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
2) Nazareth - It's Naz (Live)
3) Metallica - Kill 'em All
4) Rush - 2010
5) AC/DC - High Voltage
6) Masters Of Reality - Blue Garden
7) Megadeth - So Far, So Good, So What...
8) Unida - Coping With The Urban Coyote
9) Kyuss - Wretch
10) The God Machine - One Last Laugh In A Place Of Dying

Do you trade / buy / sell?

I'm really only interested in buying as I can never summon the courage to sell anything.
