Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

As far as I can remember. It was through my uncles that I heard heavy metal. They had records with bands such as Witchfinder General, Wolf and Tank. The album covers were just as interesting as the music!

How and when did you become a collector?

I've been collecting seriously for about 2½ - 3 years. I collect because I feel a compulsion, and because there's not many better things you can spend your money on!

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I collect vinyl, and also shirts when I find cool ones. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to find shirts with rare bands from the 80s, so I make most of them myself :)

Which styles do you collect?

Rare 80s metal. I like it when it's serious/dark/heavy, I'm not really into cheerful metal. I collect Swedish metal mostly, because you can "see the light at the end of the tunnel" if you narrow your collecting to a specific country. When I'm done with that, then maybe I'll plunge into NWOBHM or something.

How big is your collection?

About 400-500 vinyl records and 10-15 CDs

Where do you buy?

I buy them through online auctions, through people I have contact with on the Internet, and in record shops in Stockholm

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

These are all Swedish singles from the 80s, with picture sleeves and most in mint/near mint condition.
1. Rising - Metal Bird 7" (signed)
2. Hels - Birth/Death 7"
3. Wizzard - Ninya Warrior 7"
4. Grave - Screaming from the Grave 7" (with a letter from Grave)
5. Paradize - Caress of Steel 7"
6. Air Borne - In United Kingdom 7"
7. Shakespeare - Orphan Devil 7" (original)
8. Adventure - Destiny 7"
9. Treasure - Women in Black 7"
10. Gotham City - Gotham City 7" (original)

Do you trade / buy / sell?

Buying mostly. I like to tape trade as well (especially videotapes), but I can't do it too often. I'm burnt out, man! :)

Any famous last words?

THE BANDS FROM THE PAST WILL ONE DAY RISE FROM THE ASHES OF OBLIVION LIKE THE BIRD OF PHOENIX TO ONCE AGAIN LET THEIR MUSIC RING LOUD
