Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I guess it has always been in the back of my head, since listening to Guns'n Roses, Metallica and stuff like that as a kid. But it was not until about seven years ago, when I got into acts like Running Wild (still my favourites), Helloween, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and the like that I developed a musical interest to talk about. And it has been metal ever since...

How and when did you become a collector?

I have collected seriously only for a little less than a year. I collect because I am pervertedly fascinated by obscure acts. I find it exciting to search for records and the satisfaction in finally finding them is not replacable.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

The last year it has been mostly vinyl, for obvious reasons, but I still buy some cd's. Mostly new releases by my favourite bands.

Which styles do you collect?

Im really interested in anything that's obscure and good. Though, I have somehow concentrated on swedish heavy metal from the 80's. Why I don't know, I just find it fascinating and fulfilling.

How big is your collection?

I guess only about 450 cd's and a 150-something vinyl records. The vinyl part of my collection is growing quite rapidly though

Where do you buy?

Through online auctions, dealers, shops and anyone who has something of interest to sell.

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

All swedish bands from the early to mid eighties!
1. 220 Volt - Prisoner of War/Sauron 7"
2. Grave - Screaming From the Grave/Dreamer 7"
3. Rising - Metal Bird/She's Got Bright Eyes 7"
4. Gotham City - Gotham City/Killer Angels 7"
5. Overdrive - Reflexions MLP
6. Ambush - 4-Track EP 7"
7. Maninnya Blade - The Barbarian/Ripper Attack 7"
8. Razorblade - Run For Your Life/Ready to Fight 7"
9. Zone Zero - Heavy Metal 7"
10. Faith - Hymn of the Sinner 7"

Do you trade / buy / sell?

At the moment I am just bying. I guess I am to new in the business to trade or sell yet. Maybe later...

Any famous last words?

Am I supposed to declare that metal will never die or something like that? :) I guess it simply wont, and at the end of the day, Running Wild, Savatage, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Gotham City and Accept will still be the best bands that ever existed...
