Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I began listening to heavy metal in 1986, when I was thirteen. I have a cousin that listened to Iron Maiden, Dio, Scorpions and stuff like this... I didn't like them but I wanted to try and asked him a tape of Iron Maiden's "Somewhere In Time"... it was love at first sting !!!

How and when did you become a collector?

Since the beginning of my "metal baptism"... Together with the biggest metal bands I have always liked also to search for something more underground and less famous. So I began also to buy italian metal lps (Strana Officina, Bulldozer, Necrodeath...) and some other less famous bands from all over the world ! Heavy Metal is such a wonderful thing and I like to know the best I can about it !

What kind of stuff do you collect?

Mainly I collect Vinyls and demotapes, but I also like CD reprinting of old classics... the main thing is the music !

Which styles do you collect?

I listen to many different styles of heavy metal: classic / power, epic, speed, thrash, death, black... but my real love is 80s metal, epic metal and speed'n'thrash.

How big is your collection?

It's a good collection... almost 200 original demotapes, 650 /700 vinyls, almost 1500 cds and a lot of homemade tapes (more than 2000 titles)

Where do you buy?

My fave shops are Paranoid Records in Viareggio (LU) and Data Records in Florence. On the net I often buy at Iron Pegasus or Time Before Time or I trade something with some friends around Europe.
