Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I've been listening to Heavy Metal since 2001...I first listened to Linkin Park, a Nu Metal Band, and I'm not ashamed of my Roots. I came into White Metal in 2002 with Mortification und Living Sacrifice. In 2003 I noticed Bands like Narnia and Saviour Machine. Beginning in 2004 I started buying old Metal CDs from bands like Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Savatage, Fates Warning, Dream Theater or Megadeth and I really love this Stuff!

How and when did you become a collector?

I've been collecting Metal-CDs for a bit more than one and a half years. I'm collecting because I damn love this kind of music and I want to find all the treasures released in the 70s, 80s and 90s - Times, that I wasn't allowed to live in, but I want to get all the Music from the past Times I can get

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I collect CDs. I was born in a Time as Vinyl was dying - why should I collect it? CDs sound much better. But I have some tapes and vinyls in my collection, pink floyd and deep purple for example.

Which styles do you collect?

I concentrate on all the classic metal styles like power metal, nwobhm and melodic metal, because I think this is the pure heavy metal as it has been created by iron maiden, judas priest and saxon and it's the music that I've learned to love.

How big is your collection?

about 200 cds (some of them live-bootlges) maybe 5 lps one tape a few dvds

Where do you buy?

well, of course at the cd-dealer in the next bigger town. but the collection that i found there isn't really good, so I've started buying older records at eBay, because it's a good way to get old and good cds for low prices.
