Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

Well, it all started around 1985 when I first heard Lynott/Moore's "Out In The Fields". I was enthused by the power of guitars and the emotional of this music...

How and when did you become a collector?

I don't know a date exactly. Someday it started and never stopped. I collect as my collection is somehow a description of my character.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

Mainly CDs, but also some "arcane" Demo-Tapes of the 80ies.

Which styles do you collect?

My focus is Eastern European Metal and Exotic stuff from all parts of the world. There is no music as international as Metal and it is pretty funny to surprise guests with stuff from Kyrgyzstan, Puerto Rico or Botswana.

How big is your collection?

Around 3k

Where do you buy?

Many via internet, a lot of on location, some by personal contacts...

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

That differs day by day. Some of my favourites are
Kruiz - I
Aria - Playing With Fire
Poltergeist - Nothing Lasts Forever
Helloween - Walls Of Jericho
Blind Guardian - Follow The Blind
Gates Of Ishtar - At Dusk And Forever
Garmarna - Guds Spelemän
Fifth Angel - Fifth Angel
Mordred - Fool´s Game
Blind Guardian - Tales From The Twilight World
and some fantastic demos of Payne's Gray or Breakkout...

Do you trade / buy / sell?

I am a buyer, but from time to time I also trade (but only duplicates)

Any famous last words?

Heavy Metal is the law that keeps us all united free...We need it as a liquid in our veins instead of blood.
