Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I've been listening to heavy metal for more than 10 years (as far as I can remember...!). Before that, I was into the dreaded "Nu-Metal" stuff like Limp Bizkit and such, until I heard one song. One song that changed my life. "Caught Somewhere in Time" by "You-Know-Which-Band" (or else... You're a goddamned poseur!). This song made me a metalhead. FOREVER!

How and when did you become a collector?

Not so long ago, actually. I used to download most of the stuff I wanted. Until I discovered the pleasure of receiving the physical copies of my CDs and Vinyls and hoarding them! Maybe 3 to 5 years ago, as far as I can remember.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I collect CDs and (very recently) Vinyls.

Which styles do you collect?

Yes. I'm a sucker for J-Metal and Old School Death Metal. (Don't try to find a link between those two styles... My tastes are pretty eclectic!)

How big is your collection?

I can estimate my CD collection to about 1300 units, and my Vinyl collection to 50 units or so.

Where do you buy?

I buy on the internet, mostly, since record shops in Quebec sucks... But sadly for many, I'm a maniac hoarder, so I don't sell or trade my stuff. If a CD/LP was good enough for me to put effort, time and money on acquiring it, I won't be parting with it...!

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

That is an hard one... Without any particular order, I'd go with:
1) Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time
2) Incantation - Onward to Golgotha
3) Loudness - Disillusion
4) Anthem - Bound to Break
5) Vanishing Point - Fantasy of Future
6) Breeze Least - Breeze Least
7) Gargoyle - Furebumi
8) Aion - Aion
9) Bellzlleb - Bellzlleb
10) Volcano - Violent ...
But this is really arbitrary, it can change mostly everyday!

Any famous last words?

Long live metal!?
