Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

Since about the age of 6 or 7.It all started with KISS(I think it was the image more than anything at first). My biggest inspiration was when my cousin moved to my hometown(St.John's,NFLD),he owned thousands of records like MSG,MANOWAR,SAXON,MAD MAX ,all kinds of NWOBHM,thats when the bug really started.

How and when did you become a collector?

My first record was KISS ALIVE! around the age of 7.I got a couple more records over the years but never got involed with collecting until my early teens.Collecting just makes me feel good, plain and simple. You all know the feeling of finally getting that long sought after album finally in your hands.Music just gets me through everything and is a very large part of my life and can never see myself not collecting-even though my bank account wishes I would.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

I collect all formats of recorded music, cassettes I only buy if I can\t find the item on any other format.CD's are great because I travel alot(can't play vinyl in the car),but I perfer vinyl.Since moving to ALBERTA(and because of the the web) it has been easier finding vinyl ,NFLD shops only stocked mainsteam CD's- so finding a copy of RATT "OUT OF THE CELLAR" on vinyl is a big find at the used shops in NFLD!

Which styles do you collect?

Early thrash and speed metal, NWOBHM,just about any form of music as long as it feels good.I have no problem listening to CARCASS then throwing on BLIND IILUSION, SLEDGEHAMMER, SAGA or HANK WILLIAMS Sr.

How big is your collection?

Estimate LP 450 CD 1000 SINGLE 150 CASS. 250 not including box sets,DVD,&VIDEO

Where do you buy?

I have been buying alot online as well as local shops.
