Describe your way to Heavy Metal:

I've always been into hard rock/metal since 1978: Van Halen!

How and when did you become a collector?

I've been buying records from the erly 80's on.

What kind of stuff do you collect?

Which styles do you collect?

Mostly, US metal from the 80's. Some AOR. Would like to start a NWOBHM collection (recommended titles? -> mail me a list)

How big is your collection?

Growing all the time ... I lost 100's of metal lp's in the early 90's. While at university, I stopped buying records and cd's (lack of money/time!). I restarted collecting again some years ago so it is still growing.

Where do you buy?

Your favourite records (by heart or value):

I don't care about the value of an lp, only the music on it! Some lp/cd's I like more than others (in no particular order):
Anvil - Forged In Fire
Icon - Night Of The Crime
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly
Psychotic Waltz - Into The Everflow
Lethal - Programmed
Cynic - Focus
Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
Queensr├┐che - The Warning + Operation Mindcrime
Metal Church - Metal Church
Sacred Blade - Of The Sun And Moon
Y. Malmsteen's Rising Force (first)
Y&T - Earthshaker
Militia - The Sybling

Honorable mentions (not my altime favourites but TOO GOOD to ignore):
Breaker - Get Tough! (+ Get Tougher! cd)
Wild Dogs - Reign Of Terror
Culprit - Guilty As Charged
Alcatrazz - No Parole From Rock 'N' Roll
Helstar - Remnants Of War
Kick Axe - Welcome To The Club
Armored Saint - Delirious Nomad

Separate songs:
Hammeron - Silent Victim (from "Nothin To Do But Rock")
Kansas - Three Pretenders (from "Power")
Toxik - Heart Attack (from "World Circus")
Heir Apparent - Just Imagine (from "One Small Voice")
Flotsam & Jetsam - I Live, You Die (from "No Place For Disgrace")
Sacred Blade - IC Eyes + Cathedral Forest (from "7 Moonz Of Xercez")

Dream Theater/Fates Warning - 80's era ...

Non-metal: everything from Rush, Survivor, Spys, Streets, Mastedon, Niccolo Paganini (24 Caprices), J. S. Bach

Some of the rarer records I have at this moment:
Pantera - Projects In The Jungle (Metal Magic, blue + yellow vinyl)
Jag Panzer - License To Kill (clear vinyl testpres.)
Ex(x)plorer - Symphonies Of Steel (HHH, signed by all!)
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly (WT-001)
ESP - The Future Is Now (Dream)
S.A. Slayer - Go For The Throat (UDL)
Odin - The God's Must Be Crazy

Do you trade / buy / sell?

Sure! Anytime. With honest people. Not with, so called, collectors that only use the highest price they ever saw for an lp as THE fair selling/trading price for their lp's, ignoring other sources. Even if they had the luck to buy those lp's cheap in a second hand store, years ago (you know who you are!).

Any famous last words?

My mind is not for rent to any God or government!
